About the Program
This program will be offered beginning the Summer of 2009. Participants will study Spanish at a respected Spanish school in Turrialba, a beautiful highland community in central Costa Rica, surrounded by natural and cultural wonders. You'll live with a host family and enjoy a wide range of activities including traditional cooking classes, salsa dance lessons, hikes, and volunteer opportunities. Alternate schools and locations are possible, as are trip extensions, additional weeks of study, and volunteerism.
College credit will be offered through Heritage Institute and Antioch University Seattle at 5 credits per week for up to 2 weeks - see links below to a syllabus with draft itinerary for each week. It is possible to attend either week in isolation but participation in the full 2 week program is recommended. Contact information is available on the Registration Form, below.
